Questions

Questions about PLAAGG Wash

What does PLAAGG Wash do?
PLAAGG Wash runs a car wash and carpet-cleaning business: one queue for every vehicle and every carpet, one-tap status, your own price list with the direct costs behind it, cash, card and M-Pesa payments, printable receipts, supplies, and reports on takings, cost per job and margin.
Does it read number plates?
Yes, and it does it on the phone itself. Staff photograph the plate and the reading happens in the browser, so there is no AI or vision-API charge per read and no photograph leaves the device. The plate is always editable before the job is saved, and typing it is just as quick.
How does M-Pesa payment work?
Staff confirm the amount and the customer's number, and PLAAGG asks Safaricom to prompt that phone using your own Daraja credentials, held on the server. A payment is only ever recorded as received once Safaricom's own answer confirms it and the amount matches — a request that is sent and never completed stays pending and the job stays owing. Until your Daraja keys are saved, payments run in a clearly labelled demo mode that is never presented as real money.
Does it handle carpet cleaning as well as vehicles?
Yes, as its own flow. Each piece is taken in by size tile or by measured square metre, with treatments, optional pickup and delivery charges, a promised collection day and handling notes, and it moves Received, Washing, Drying, Ready for collection, then Collected or Delivered — a carpet cannot be marked ready while it is still wet.
Can attendants see the money?
No. An attendant sees the jobs assigned to them and can take payment on those, and nothing else — no customer database, no day's till, no reports. A manager runs the shift, the queue and the follow-ups but never sees what the work costs the business or the margin on it; those stay with the owner. Every one of those limits is enforced on the server, not by hiding buttons.
